German security agencies probe possible Iranian attack plots

German federal interior ministry officials said the country's security agencies are reviewing intelligence that suggests possible Iranian-planned attacks on German soil. The assessment follows the publication of an Iranian "revenge list" that names German politicians, including Friedrich Merz.

Authorities are monitoring alleged espionage and preparatory activities, working closely with international partners, and keeping protective measures of the federal criminal police under continuous review. The ministry noted that the recent escalation between the United States and Iran has not raised the overall threat level in Germany.
