German television networks announce upcoming quiz show broadcasts

German television networks have announced upcoming quiz programming. MDR will broadcast ‘Quizduell – Olymp’ on September 14, 2026, from 9:45 AM to 10:35 AM. The program features guests Robin Pietsch and Zora Klipp, with Esther Sedlaczek serving as moderator. The episode will be available via a parallel livestream on the MDR Mediathek and Joyn.

Additionally, Das Erste will air a three-hour special edition of ‘Wer weiß denn sowas? XXL’ on October 3, the Day of German Unity. Hosted by Kai Pflaume, the special includes team captains Bernhard Hoëcker and Wotan Wilke Möhring competing alongside six celebrity guests. The finale will feature a prize of 50,000 euros for charity. The regular season of the show is scheduled to return on November 2.
