German towns advance climate bike challenge in Neustrelitz and Teublitz

Neustrelitz reported that 628 cyclists have already logged more than 75,000 km in the STADTRADELN competition, with the city utility leading at 10,836 km. Primary schools are competing fiercely; Sandberg primary school contributed 8,030 km, while Daniel Sanders school logged 4,560 km. A family ride is planned for 17 June to boost participation.

In Teublitz, the STADTRADELN campaign began on 15 June and will run until 3 July, urging residents to trade car trips for bike rides. Participants register and record kilometers through the official website or app, can form or join teams, and aim to accumulate the highest total for the town in the nationwide climate‑friendly cycling contest.
