German towns reroute traffic amid road construction projects

In North Rhine‑Westphalia, authorities converted the Schifffahrter Damm into a one‑way street heading north and reopened the Coerheide route for city‑bound traffic, observing the effects on the first day of the new traffic plan.

In the town of Wedel, work on the B431 at Holmer Straße between Wedel and Holm began in early May, diverting additional vehicles onto the Holmer Lehmweg. The mayor explained that the timing of the works could not be shifted despite criticism, prompting the temporary traffic adjustments.
