German vocational training sees success in baking and crafts
Recent achievements in German vocational training highlight the success of young professionals in various craft sectors. In Dresden, 21 graduates from the “M62” master course successfully passed their master craftsman examinations through the Handwerkskammer Dresden. Among them is Tobias Miklos, who represented Germany in the baking category at the WorldSkills competition in Shanghai.
Stefan Richter, State Guild Master of the Central German Bakers' Guild, noted that these skilled professionals are essential for the future success of the baking industry. The training program included technical expertise alongside business administration, law, and personnel management.
In the Freiburg chamber district, 55 young craftspeople achieved chamber victories in the “German Craft Skills” competition. The winners represent a wide range of trades, including sanitary, heating, and climate technology technicians, as well as motorcycle mechanics. Notably, 24 of the winners were women, including those in traditionally male-dominated fields such as roofing, plumbing, and carpentry.
