German volunteer crossing guards honored in Schweinfurt and Pullach

In Schweinfurt, the Sparkasse Schweinfurt‑Haßberge and the Verkehrswacht Schweinfurt e.V. organized a complimentary trip to Freizeitland Geiselwind for about 80 active student crossing guards from local middle schools. The outing was a thank‑you for their voluntary duties in safeguarding school routes.

In Pullach im Isartal, the municipality publicly thanked its volunteer school‑crossing helpers, noting that more than ten volunteers now cover the Jaiserstraße/Wolfratshauser Straße intersection. Long‑term contributors Nicole Rath and Konstancja Mauch were highlighted, and volunteers receive a €7.50 stipend per shift, with police‑provided training available.
