Germany detains alleged leader of online group inciting minors to violence

German authorities have detained a German national, identified as Kai M., suspected of leading an online group that incited minors to commit violent crimes. The suspect, who is under 20 years old and will be tried as a juvenile, is accused of using chat groups to manipulate vulnerable children across Europe, Russia, and the United States.

Specific allegations include inciting a minor in Russia to commit a school stabbing and encouraging individuals in Sweden and the United States to commit murders and arson. Prosecutors have characterized the network as a “terrorist organization influenced by far-right ideology” aimed at causing social chaos.

Additional charges involve the distribution of child sexual abuse material and inciting a child in another European country to perform self-harming sexual acts with a knife. The case is being viewed by investigators as part of a broader phenomenon of “nihilistic violent extremism” within dark online subcultures.
