Germany emphasizes vocational training and skilled labor development

In Germany, regional and corporate sectors are emphasizing the importance of vocational training and skilled labor development.

The Handwerkskammer Mannheim Rhein-Neckar-Odenwald announced 36 chamber winners in the German Craftsmanship Championship (DMH). These winners, consisting of 25 men and 11 women across 36 different professions, have qualified for state-level competitions. The initiative aims to promote professional pride and provide a platform for young craftsmen to exchange experiences and learn from peers.

Simultaneously, the logistics company DACHSER continues to invest heavily in its workforce. The company currently employs 1,828 apprentices, 136 dual students, and nine trainees in Germany, maintaining a consistent apprenticeship rate of approximately ten percent. CEO Burkhard Eling noted that despite increasing digitalization and artificial intelligence, human responsibility remains central to the company's success. High demand for training was noted in transport and logistics services, warehouse logistics, and professional driving.
