Germany faces skilled labor shortages and demographic shifts

To address these challenges, experts emphasize the necessity of digitalization and artificial intelligence to maintain administrative and industrial productivity. Additionally, there is increasing regulatory pressure regarding labor management. Following rulings from the European Court of Justice and the German Federal Labour Court, employers are required to implement reliable systems for recording working hours, including start times, end times, and breaks. A draft from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs suggests that electronic time tracking will become the standard to ensure legal compliance and prevent manipulation.
