Germany implements new military service registration amid conscription debates

Germany is facing renewed discussions regarding military conscription and the legal protections for conscientious objectors. Reports indicate that the Bundesrat has confirmed a new military service law, and judicial signals from the Bundesgerichtshof suggest that in a state of war, the right to refuse armed service could be subordinated, potentially forcing objectors to the front lines.
