Germany imposes temporary closures on A8 near Pforzheim and A4 near Jena
The A8 autobahn segment west of Pforzheim, heading toward Stuttgart, will be closed from Friday evening until early Monday morning to allow works, with traffic redirected via local routes.
On Monday, 15 June, the exit for Jena‑Zentrum on the A4 towards Frankfurt am Main will be briefly shut between 18:00 and 20:00 for maintenance. Drivers are being diverted to the nearby Jena‑Göschwitz exit. At the same time, two new service‑area complexes, “Amselberg” and “Pfingsttal”, are being built between the Apolda and Bucha interchanges, adding dozens of parking spaces, restrooms and facilities for trucks, buses and caravans, with completion expected by 2027‑2028.
