A 30-year-old man was shot and killed on a public street in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin following a dispute involving several people. The incident took place shortly before midnight at Hardenbergplatz, in front of the Zoologischer Garten station. Despite attempts by paramedics to resuscitate him, the victim died at the scene. The homicide commission has launched an investigation into the suspected murder, though the specific motives and the exact number of shots fired remain unclear. The suspects fled the scene following the incident.

This fatal shooting occurs amid a reported increase in firearm-related incidents in Berlin. According to police data, there were 1,119 recorded cases of firearm use in 2025, representing a 68 percent increase compared to 2024.

The suspects fled the area in a white VW Golf. The victims were treated by emergency services and were able to leave the hospital the same day.
