Germany is actively seeking nurses from Poland to address ongoing staffing shortages in its healthcare sector. Job advertisements for nursing positions in care homes offer net monthly salaries ranging from approximately 3,800 to 4,000 euros, which converts to roughly 16,300 to 17,200 PLN.

These employment offers typically include a German contract, full insurance coverage, and benefits such as free accommodation and meal allowances. To qualify, Polish medical professionals must obtain official recognition of their qualifications in Germany (Anerkennung), possess professional experience, and demonstrate proficiency in the German language, typically at a B1 or B2 level.

In Poland, the high demand and rising domestic wages have led to a surge in nursing students, with the field ranking as one of the most popular academic choices, attracting over 20,000 applicants annually.
