Germany to host major winter sports events in 2026

Germany is set to host several major winter sports events in 2026. From October 9 to 11, Hinterzarten will host the German Championships in ski jumping and Nordic combined. The competitions will take place at the Adler Skistadion, featuring the Rothausschanze, while the Nordic combined ski roller tracks will run through the center of the town.

In December 2026, Oberhof will host the Ski-Opening and ski testing weeks from December 7 to 20. Organized by Sport//Luck at the Lotto-Thüringen Skisporthalle, the event will offer two full weeks of equipment testing for various brands. The opening week will feature cross-country skiing legend Tobias Angerer and expert Mario Felgenhauer to discuss technical innovations and performance in the sport.
