Winter sports events in Germany
Overview
Germany is scheduled to host various major winter sports competitions and events throughout late 2026.
In early September, the German Biathlon Championships are set to take place at the Notschrei Nordic Center in the Black Forest. The event includes six races featuring German national squads and youth athletes, serving as a performance evaluation for the upcoming World Cup season.
Later in the year, the focus shifts to other disciplines. Hinterzarten will host the German Championships in ski jumping and Nordic combined in October at the Adler Skistadion. In December, Oberhof will host the Ski-Opening and ski testing weeks, providing two weeks of equipment testing and technical discussions involving sports experts.
