Germany to lead energy partnership mission in Algeria
A German business delegation is scheduled to visit Algeria in late September 2026 to explore partnerships in the energy sector. Organized by the German-Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Algeria) and the company Energy Watcher, the mission focuses on the SoutH2 corridor, which aims to connect North African hydrogen production to European markets.
The mission will target several technical areas, including green hydrogen, energy conversion technologies, storage solutions, electrolysis, and water desalination. Participants will also examine opportunities in pipeline rehabilitation, engineering, and feasibility studies to identify potential collaborations with Algerian operators.
This initiative is part of a broader energy export program by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, designed to support German companies during the energy transition.
