Germany women's handball team prepares for European Championship tests

The German women's national handball team is undergoing intensive preparation for the upcoming European Championship in December. As part of the Golden League, the team faces a high-stakes double header within 24 hours, competing against Denmark and the Netherlands.

National coach Markus Gaugisch views these matches as a critical assessment of the team's current performance level. Following a mixed start to the season, including a 30-35 loss to Spain in late September, Gaugisch emphasized the need for top-tier performance to compete with leading nations. The upcoming matches are intended to provide necessary insights and developmental steps ahead of the tournament, which runs from December 3 to December 20.
