Germany’s Brandenburg Tour and Roland‑Sternfahrt promote bike‑friendly infrastructure 2026
On 18 July 2026 the Association of Municipalities for Cycling (AGFK) in Brandenburg launched the Brandenburg Tour 2026 together with Minister Robert Crumbach of the Brandenburg Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning. The event highlighted a new policy paper containing ten concrete recommendations to accelerate planning, reduce bureaucracy and speed up the construction of bike routes in the state.
On 13 June 2026 the ADFC Jerichower Land organized the ninth Roland‑Sternfahrt, a free multi‑route cycling tour that brought riders from Saxony‑Anhalt and Brandenburg to the town of Burg for the Rolandfest. Five different routes covered 60–86 km, ending with a group ride through the town and a photo session at the festival. Both events aim to raise awareness of climate‑friendly mobility and strengthen community connections through cycling.
