Germany's Children's Rights Programs Launch Award and Summer Exhibition

The Kinderrechtepreis Rheinland‑Pfalz invites applications from municipalities, associations and projects that advance child and youth participation in local governance. Submissions in child‑friendly audio, video or visual formats can be sent until 27 February 2026. Four prizes are awarded: €2,500 for the first place, €2,000 for second, €1,500 for third, and a €2,000 special prize for rural communities with up to 3,000 residents.

At the Kinder‑Akademie Fulda, the interactive exhibition "Kleine Menschen, große Rechte" runs until 31 July 2026. The program offers hands‑on stations where children aged 9‑12 explore the concept of children’s rights through puzzles, craft and collaborative activities, highlighting the importance of barrier‑free educational spaces.
