Getafe to face Lugano in UEFA Conference League

Getafe will host Swiss side Lugano at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez on October 22, 2026, for a UEFA Conference League league stage match.

Getafe enters the fixture following a 1-1 draw against Univ. Craiova in their opening Conference League match and a recent 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga. The Spanish side currently sits 14th in their domestic league and 15th in the Conference League table. Notable absences for Getafe include Christantus Uche, Abdelkabir Abqar, and Juanmi due to injuries, while Daniel Carvajal and İbrahima Drammeh are unavailable.

Lugano arrives with significant momentum, having secured a five-game unbeaten run that includes a 4-0 victory over Pully in the Swiss Cup. They opened their Conference League campaign with a 3-2 win against Red Star and currently occupy eighth place in the tournament standings. Lugano's squad will be without Claudio Cassano due to injury.
