The John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Heritage, led by chairman Alex Segbefia, announced a series of events to mark the 14th anniversary of the late Ghanaian president’s death. Activities run from July 15 to July 25, 2026, and include a commemorative lecture on July 22 at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, delivered by Prof. Kwabena Frimpong‑Boateng.

A memorial service and wreath‑laying ceremony will be held on July 24 at Asomdwee Park, with former President John Dramani Mahama expected to lay a wreath on behalf of the Republic. The commemorations conclude with a hockey tournament on July 25 at the Theodosia Okoh National Hockey Stadium.

The events aim to honour President Mills’s legacy of peace, unity and democratic governance and to inspire continued national cohesion.
