Ghana Football Association charges Kotoko and Debibi United

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued formal disciplinary charges against Asante Kotoko and Debibi United for allegedly violating league regulations regarding match highlights. Both clubs are accused of failing to publish video highlights of their recent Ghana Premier League encounter within the mandatory 48-hour window, a breach of Article 38(8)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2025.

The regulation is intended to increase the visibility and digital accessibility of domestic football. The clubs have until Friday, 11 September 2026, to respond to the charges. While the GFA has not specified potential penalties, the clubs could face sanctions if found guilty of the breach.

The incident occurred following a 2-2 draw between the two sides, marking the top-flight debut for the newly promoted Debibi United.
