Ghana Football Association launches U19 Premier League and enhanced rewards
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the official logo for the new U19 Premier League, a competition designed to strengthen youth football development and create a structured pathway for emerging players. The inaugural pilot edition will be held in the Greater Accra Region using a centralized Game Centre format, featuring selected clubs from the Ghana Premier League and the UMB Division One League.
Additionally, the GFA has confirmed an enhanced NASCO rewards package for the 2026/27 UMB Division One League season, provided by Electroland Ghana Limited. The upgraded incentives for players and coaches across Zones One, Two, and Three include:
• Coach of the Month: 43-inch NASCO television sets (upgraded from 32-inch models). • Player of the Month: 32-inch NASCO television sets (upgraded from 24-inch models). • Weekly Player of the Match: NASCO stand blenders (replacing steam irons).
Electroland Ghana Limited CEO Nour Seklaoui and GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo emphasized that these initiatives aim to support domestic football and recognize technical contributions within the league.
