Ghana High Court Advances NAFCO Corruption Trial with Evidence Disclosure Order and Travel Request Denial

The Accra High Court issued two notable rulings in the ongoing criminal case against former National Food Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) chief executive Hanan Abdul‑Wahab Aludiba. On July 29, 2026, Justice Francis A. Achibonga ordered the Office of the Attorney‑General to provide all documents in its possession that are relevant to the charges of theft, fraud, financial loss to the state and money laundering, citing the prosecution’s duty to disclose material evidence for a fair trial.

In a separate hearing, the court rejected a petition by Faiza Seidu Wuni, the wife of ex‑NAFCO CEO, seeking temporary release of her passport to travel abroad with her seven‑year‑old son for medical treatment.
