Ghana hosts 10th Triennial World Assemblies of God Congress
The 10th Triennial Congress of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF) recently concluded in Ghana. Organizers reported significant attendance, with morning sessions drawing over 10,000 participants daily and evening revival rallies attracting more than 80,000 people over a three-day period.
Rev. Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, described the event as a historic moment for Africa. He attributed the success to years of prayer, planning, and preparation. The congress featured participation from high-profile figures, including President John Dramani Mahama, who attended the opening and closing ceremonies, and former Malawian President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, who ministered at the Global Thanksgiving Service.
