Ghana launches 24‑Hour Market project in Upper East and commissions 11 DACF projects in Eastern Region

Deputy Education Minister and Builsa South MP Dr Clement Abas Apaak broke ground on a modern 24‑Hour Economy Market at Fumbisi in the Upper East Region. The market, described as a "game‑changer," is part of the government’s 24‑hour economy agenda and is slated for completion within 36 months, with local workers to be employed during construction.

In the Eastern Region, Regional Minister Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey commissioned eleven projects funded by the District Assemblies Common Fund in Birim Central Municipality. The projects aim to expand access to education, health services and clean water for the local community.

Both initiatives are government‑driven efforts to boost economic activity, create jobs and improve basic services in disadvantaged districts of Ghana.
