Ghana National Fire Service conducts safety education campaigns
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has launched multiple safety awareness initiatives across different regions to promote prevention and emergency response.
In the Akatsi South Municipality, the GNFS intensified fire safety education at the Avenorfeme Technical Institute and the Agric College of Education in Ohawu. Led by Divisional Officer Grade III Victor Kudoadzi, the programs focused on fire outbreak causes, preventive measures, and the correct use of fire extinguishers. At Avenorfeme Technical Institute, Miss Godsway Agbah was named Fire Safety Ambassador for her role in promoting awareness.
Separately, the Kpong Fire Station conducted a three-day road safety campaign along the Tema–Akosombo Highway. Officers engaged motorists to sensitize them on speed management, seatbelt use, maintaining safe following distances, and avoiding mobile phone distractions to reduce accidents and protect lives.
