Ghana National Fire Service contains residential blaze in Teshie Penny

On the evening of July 29, a domestic fire broke out at a residence in Teshie Penny, Ledzokuku Municipality, Ghana. The blaze completely destroyed one room and caused fire and smoke damage to the hall and kitchen, while firefighters from the Trade Fair Fire Station quickly brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby densely packed homes.

The rapid response also protected an adjoining self‑contained apartment and a nearby five‑bedroom house, sparing several families from further loss. No injuries or fatalities were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ghana National Fire Service, which has advised residents to check electrical wiring and report any fire outbreaks promptly.
