Ghana Police arrest suspects in separate murder investigations
The Ghana Police Service has made arrests in two distinct homicide investigations. In the first case, two suspects, identified as 21-year-old Peter Nchor Asadigina and 19-year-old Mudasel Dramani, were apprehended in Techiman. They are accused of murdering Agartha Takyiwa, a 22-year-old Fabulous Ladies FC defender, during a struggle over her commercial tricycle in the Ashanti Region. Investigators tracked the suspects using the location signal from the victim's stolen mobile phone. Recovered items include a green Bajaj tricycle and several electronic devices.
In a second investigation, police arrested 47-year-old Beatrice Mumuni in connection with the deaths of George Atuguba and his niece, Irene Atuguba, in Sakumono. Authorities allege Mumuni guided the prime suspect, Samuel Christopher Osei Anto, to the victims' residence. The incident is reportedly linked to a financial dispute involving a GH¢500,000 debt. While Mumuni is in custody, police have declared Anto wanted and have offered a GH¢100,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
