Ghana Premier League 2026/27: foreign coaches hired and clubs meet GFA

Five Ghana Premier League clubs have appointed overseas head coaches for the 2026/27 season. Gold Stars FC will be led by Greek tactician Petros Koukouras, reigning champions Asante Kotoko hired South African Eric Tinkler, Hearts of Oak signed Bosnian Nebojša Kapor, newly promoted Vision FC brought in Montenegrin Predrag Jeredić, and Heart of Lions appointed Turkish Kasım Gök. The appointments signal a push for diverse tactics and international experience ahead of the new campaign.

The Ghana Football Association convened a session with all 18 Premier League clubs to review the 2025/26 season and discuss the upcoming fixtures. General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and Acting Director of Competitions Maxwell Caesar Kemeh oversaw talks on match scheduling, stadium availability, broadcasting, ticketing, security and disciplinary matters. Emphasis was placed on boosting fan attendance, investing in youth and colts football, and supporting women’s football, with a follow‑up meeting scheduled to handle youth player registration.
