Ghana prepares public mausoleum for late highlife star Daddy Lumba

The family of late Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba announced plans to open his burial site to the public as a mausoleum. Manager Roman Fada said the facility will include admission fees, digital screens and audio of Lumba’s music, and serve as an educational centre on his life and career. The opening date will be announced in the coming days.

At the one‑year remembrance ceremony, family head Kofi Owusu, known as the Abusuapanyin, appealed for peace between Lumba’s two wives, urging them to reconcile and jointly honour the musician’s legacy.
