Daddy Lumba burial site and mausoleum
Entities: Sarkodie · Daddy Lumba · East Legon · Daddy Lumba (Charles Kwadwo Fosu) · Ghana
Overview
One year after highlife legend Daddy Lumba died, his family held a private memorial at his East Legon home and disclosed the location of his burial. A black‑marble tomb inside a private mausoleum on land he had chosen was shown for the first time, ending months of public speculation. Traditional rites for his second wife were performed, and a cousin was named as interim family representative while succession talks continue.
Two days later the family announced that the mausoleum would be opened to the public as an educational centre. Plans include admission fees, digital screens and audio installations featuring Lumba’s music. The family head also urged Lumba’s two wives to reconcile and jointly honour his legacy.
