Fatal road accidents reported in Ghana and Kenya
A series of fatal road accidents have been reported in Ghana and Kenya. In Assin Fosu, Ghana, a head-on collision between a Toyota Sienta and a Metro Mass Transit bus resulted in two deaths, including the Sienta driver and one passenger. The accident occurred when the Sienta reportedly attempted to overtake a slowing vehicle and entered the oncoming lane. At least five other individuals sustained injuries in the crash.
In Makueni County, Kenya, a fatal accident involving a matatu at Kalembwani left seven people dead and several others injured. The victims were traveling to a dowry ceremony, with five of the deceased hailing from Nthongoni village. The Makueni County Government has pledged to assist the families with medical and burial expenses.
