Ghanaian institutions partner to advance AI and digital skills
Academic and professional institutions in Ghana are forming strategic partnerships to integrate advanced technologies into healthcare and digital education.
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) is in discussions with the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) to utilize Artificial Intelligence and scientific innovation to improve healthcare delivery. The proposed collaboration includes a pilot program to test AI-driven solutions within KNUST health facilities to enhance patient outcomes and decision-making. The partnership also aims to use AI to optimize the GMTF’s internal data management and operational efficiency.
Separately, the Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ManyTek International LLC. This agreement focuses on strengthening digital skills, cybersecurity, and AI training. The partnership intends to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry needs through mentorship, internships, and applied research, aiming to improve student employability in the global technology market.
