Ghanaian officials and Stonebwoy donate to Black Challenge

Ghana's national amputee football team, the Black Challenge, has received GH¢150,000 in donations to support their preparations for the 2026 Amputee Football World Cup in Mexico.

Dancehall artist Stonebwoy and the Burna Boy Music Group contributed GH¢100,000 during a visit to the team's training session at the University of Ghana. Stonebwoy urged the public and government to provide further assistance and spoke against the ridicule of persons with disabilities.

Minister for Food and Agriculture Eric Opoku donated an additional GH¢50,000. He also pledged an agribusiness package for eight locally based players, which includes poultry equipment, laying birds, feed, and technical expertise through the government's Nkoko Nketenkete poultry programme. Deputy Minister John Dumelo will coordinate this support following the team's return from the tournament.
