Ghanaian regional leaders oversee new infrastructure projects
In Ghana, regional and municipal leaders are overseeing significant infrastructure developments. Bono East Regional Minister Francis Owusu Antwi inspected the construction of a new CHPS compound in Akropong, located within the Nkoranza South Municipality. Funded by the District Assemblies Common Fund, the facility is intended to replace a limited rented space and serve both the local community and students of a proposed Nursing and Midwifery Training College. While the Minister praised the quality of the work, he issued a one-month ultimatum to the contractor to complete the project after exceeding the original duration.
In the Kwahu South Municipality, construction has officially commenced on the Adawso–Nketepa–New Jerusalem Road. Following media reports regarding the poor condition of the network, the government mobilized Kabaka Construction Company to begin work. The road is considered vital for local farmers and commercial operators who rely on it to transport goods and people. Kwahu South Municipal Chief Executive Osei Bonsu expressed gratitude for the government's response to his appeals for intervention.
