Ghana's NDC and NPP set new dates for internal elections
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has ordered its regional executives to complete all outstanding branch executive elections between 3 – 11 August 2026. The directive, dated 1 August and signed by Deputy General Secretary for Finance and Administration Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, instructs regional chairmen and secretaries to supervise the process in line with the party’s constitution and election guidelines.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) postponed its National Executive Conference, originally scheduled for 19 September 2026, to 3 October 2026 after the University Community at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) indicated the venue would be unavailable. The conference will elect the party’s national executives for the next four‑year term.
