Ghana's NSMQ 2026 qualifiers see five schools earn national slots

Regional qualifying rounds for the 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) in Ghana concluded with several schools securing places at the national championship.

In the Ashanti region, Serwaa Nyarko Girls’ Senior High School edged Wesley High School – Bekwai by one point to claim a slot, while T.I. AMASS Kumasi topped its contest with 56 points. Armed Forces Senior High Technical School qualified after a dominant performance, and St. Joseph’s Seminary Senior High School won its contest with a perfect riddle round, earning both qualification and a GOIL riddle award.

From the Central region, Enyan Denkyira Senior High Technical School achieved a historic first‑time qualification after a comeback in the final riddle round, narrowly beating Assin State College 33‑31. The school will represent the Central region at the national stage for the first time.
