Ghaziabad NEET Aspirant Jatin Kumar Commits Suicide

A 22‑year‑old student, Jatin Kumar, was found dead in his room in Sector‑9 of Vizianagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He had hanged himself with a makeshift trap while preparing for the upcoming NEET re‑exam. Police arrived after family members reported him missing, secured the body and sent it for post‑mortem examination.

Investigators recovered a one‑minute video from Kumar’s mobile phone in which he stated the act was his own decision, not due to external pressure, and reflected on his disappointment with repeated NEET failures. His father, Rajesh Kumar, is a food‑department inspector posted in Saharanpur. The case is under police inquiry, with further legal action pending based on the post‑mortem report.
