Police in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana conduct multiple criminal encounters

Police forces across several Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, have conducted a series of operations resulting in multiple arrests and encounters with criminals.

In Faridabad, Haryana, police intercepted the ‘Gulel Gang’, an interstate group from Madhya Pradesh. The gang used slingshots to throw marbles at houses to check for occupants before committing robberies. Seven members were arrested, including two who sustained injuries during a shootout.

In Uttar Pradesh, widespread enforcement actions took place in districts such as Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, and Bulandshahr. In Ghaziabad, a notorious criminal named Farman, who faces over 100 cases, was apprehended following an encounter. In Meerut, a history-sheeter was arrested after a shootout, and in Lucknow, a wanted individual in a murder case was also taken into custody.

Other operations in Muzaffarnagar and Bulandshahr led to the arrest of several individuals wanted for crimes including theft, robbery, and cattle slaughter, with many suspects being wanted for significant rewards.
