Ghost of Yotei playable on experimental PS5 emulators

Experimental PlayStation 5 emulators have successfully loaded in-game footage of Ghost of Yotei on PC, though the experience remains unplayable. Developer Foued demonstrated the game running via SharpEmu, showing the protagonist, Atsu, moving through a 3D environment. However, the actual performance is reported to be as low as 1–2 frames per second (FPS), with the video footage being sped up to show movement.

Technical issues including geometry errors, missing textures, and incorrect visual rendering persist. Even on high-end hardware, such as an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a boss fight reportedly reached only 10.9 FPS.

A second project, AnyPS5, is attempting to bring PS5 titles to PC by relinking executables to a PC environment, but its progress with Ghost of Yotei is significantly slower, with the game world reportedly loading at approximately 3.4 frames per minute.
