Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition to launch with new roguelike mode

Sucker Punch Productions is releasing the ‘Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition’ on October 1, 2026, for PlayStation 5. This release includes the ‘Echoes of Sekigahara’ story expansion and a new roguelike-style combat and survival mode titled ‘Most Wanted’.

In the ‘Most Wanted’ mode, players can select from four different characters: the protagonist Atsu, Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin Sakai from ‘Ghost of Tsushima’. The mode utilizes a run-based system where players start with minimal upgrades and must defeat enemies to earn currency. This currency is used to unlock skills, increase stats, and improve equipment, creating a progression loop designed for replayability.

Additionally, the update introduces a ‘Beauty of Yōtei’ showcase mode for visual exploration and a ‘transmog’ feature, allowing players to customize the appearance of their armor while maintaining its statistical benefits. Free cosmetic armor sets inspired by PlayStation franchises, including ‘Helldivers’, ‘Astro Bot’, and ‘Journey’, will also be available through ‘Most Wanted’ activities.
