Gia Lai approves new furniture and waste treatment projects

The Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has approved two significant industrial projects aimed at manufacturing and waste management in the region.

Thanh Phat General Business Co., Ltd has been granted approval to invest in an export-oriented furniture manufacturing plant located in the Tan Duc Industrial Cluster. With a total investment of over 12.97 billion VND, the facility will produce items such as beds, cabinets, tables, and chairs with an annual capacity of 2,000 cubic meters. The project is expected to complete legal procedures by the fourth quarter of 2026 and begin operations by the third quarter of 2027.

Separately, Gia Lai Urban Works Joint Stock Company will implement a 57.507 billion VND construction waste treatment plant in Gào Commune. Spanning approximately 50,000 square meters, the facility is designed to process 480 tons of non-hazardous waste per day, including construction debris, metals, plastics, and paper. The plant aims to recycle waste into aggregates, unburnt bricks, and leveling materials. Construction and equipment installation are scheduled through May 2027, with official operations expected to commence in June 2027.
