Industrial and waste management development in Gia Lai

Overview

Industrial development in Gia Lai province has focused on waste management and manufacturing. In late September 2026, construction began on the Long My - Quy Nhon construction waste recycling plant, a 57.5 billion VND project led by the Gia Lai Urban Works Joint Stock Company. The facility, covering over 70,000 square meters, is designed to process 480 tons of non-toxic waste daily into reusable materials like aggregates and unburnt bricks.

Following this, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee approved additional industrial projects. These include the aforementioned construction waste treatment plant in Gào Commune, which is scheduled to begin official operations in June 2027, and a new 12.97 billion VND export-oriented furniture manufacturing plant by Thanh Phat General Business Co., Ltd in the Tan Duc Industrial Cluster.
