Gia Lai authorities urged to recover 15 billion VND from land auction violations

The Government Inspectorate has recommended the recovery of over 15 billion VND in lost revenue related to land auction violations in Gia Lai Province. The issue stems from the auction of 205 land plots in the administrative center and ecological urban area of Chu Se District.

Several individuals, including Ho Thi Hien, Nguyen Xuan Anh, and Le Viet Duc, failed to pay their auction winnings within the required timeframe, with delays ranging from 20 to 300 days. The inspection concluded that the Chu Se District People's Committee failed to manage the process effectively, neglecting to cancel the auction results or recover the deposit amounts, which led to a loss of more than 15 billion VND.

Furthermore, the inspection found that granting extensions for payment violated established auction regulations. Responsibility for these violations has been attributed to the District People's Committee Chairman, the Vice Chairman, the regional tax office, and several other local officials and department heads.
