Gia Lai College found to have multiple financial violations

The Gia Lai Provincial Inspectorate has identified multiple financial violations at Gia Lai College involving over 742 million VND in mismanagement of revenue, expenditures, and basic construction investments.

An inspection of the 2023–2025 fiscal period revealed that the state budget had over-allocated more than 4.3 billion VND to the institution. Additionally, the college improperly provided 73 million VND in support to two students who did not meet eligibility requirements.

Tax-related discrepancies were also noted, with the college underreporting 532 million VND in taxes related to professional activities, including 436 million VND in value-added tax and 95 million VND in corporate income tax. Furthermore, violations in construction and fire prevention equipment installation, totaling 136 million VND, were attributed to incorrect volume estimates and improper payment procedures.

The Inspectorate has ordered the principal of Gia Lai College to conduct a review and hold responsible individuals and collectives accountable. The college is required to recover and deposit the 742 million VND in violations into the Inspectorate's temporary account and account for the 4.3 billion VND in excess budget allocations.
