Gia Lai military forces recover martyr remains and artifacts

Military authorities in Gia Lai province, Vietnam, have recovered several sets of martyr remains and related artifacts following tips from local residents. Between September 18 and 25, the K52 Team of the Gia Lai Military Command conducted searches in Ia Boong, Binh Hiep, and Quy Nhon Nam.

In Quy Nhon Nam, a resident reported finding bone fragments and a military tent cloth in a local cemetery in 2022. Subsequent investigations led to the recovery of one set of remains on September 25. In other areas, including Ia Boong and Binh Hiep, additional remains were recovered, some accompanied by personal items such as fabric scraps and hairpins.

In Krong Pa, authorities held ceremonies to honor and bury three sets of remains found earlier in the year. These remains were recovered alongside various artifacts, including rubber sandals, military tents, and ammunition clips. Authorities are currently conducting biological testing to verify the identities of the fallen.
