Gia Lai Province Accelerates Major Traffic Projects in Quy Nhơn

On 6 August 2026 the People's Committee of Gia Lai Province, led by Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tự Công Hoàng, ordered the rapid clearance of land and fast‑track construction for two key traffic projects in the Quy Nhơn area. The first project expands and reconstructs the Đống Đa – Hoa Lư intersection, with a proposed overpass and additional lanes, while the second extends Ngô Mây road into Quy Nhơn Nam. All land‑acquisition work must be completed in August, after which contractors and supervision firms will be selected to begin building, aiming for completion before the Tet holiday in early 2027.

The projects, funded at about 513 billion VND, also include improvements to the Võ Nguyên Giáp and Lê Thanh Nghị streets and the integration of smart traffic‑management systems to reduce congestion and accident risk in the city centre.
