Vietnam to host 2027 AFF U23 Championship

The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has officially entrusted Vietnam with hosting the 2027 AFF U23 Championship. The decision was finalized during the 16th AFF Competitions Committee meeting held in Tokyo, Japan, chaired by VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan.

This marks the first time Vietnam will host this specific tournament. The event is scheduled for July 2027, following the conclusion of the 2028 AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers in June. The hosting rights come as the Vietnam U23 team maintains a strong regional presence, having secured three consecutive championships in 2022, 2023, and 2025.
