Gianfranco Paglia receives death threats on social media

Lieutenant Colonel Gianfranco Paglia, a Gold Medal for Military Valor and advisor to Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, has received serious death threats on social media. The threats reportedly included specific mentions of firearms following comments Paglia made regarding Roberto Vannacci, a leader of the Futuro Nazionale party.

Defense Minister Guido Crosetto has issued a firm condemnation of the incidents, stating that while dissent is legitimate in a democracy, death threats represent a crossing of a line that cannot be tolerated. Paglia has decided to pursue legal action, emphasizing that the internet is not a “free zone” for violence and intimidation.

Supporters, including Amich of the FDI, have expressed solidarity with Paglia, highlighting his history of service to the nation and calling for law enforcement and the judiciary to identify those responsible for the intimidation.
